Malaysia's leading private university for healthcare and professional education — home to medicine, pharmacy, nursing, psychology and allied health programmes in the heart of Malaysia's smart city.
The University of Cyberjaya (UoC) is a top-tier private university, awarded a 5-star rating in the Ministry of Higher Education's SETARA assessment — on par with Malaysia's leading public universities. Established in 2005 with an investment of almost RM200 million, the university sits on a five-acre, green-friendly campus in Cyberjaya, Malaysia's first smart city, just 30 minutes from Kuala Lumpur and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
UoC offers almost 40 programmes across undergraduate, postgraduate-taught and postgraduate-research levels. Its strongest reputation is in healthcare and allied health sciences — including medicine, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, dietetics and psychology — alongside business, information technology, communication, education and creative arts.
All programmes are accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and relevant professional bodies, and taught fully in English. The university's laboratories are GLP-certified, complying with OECD and FDA standards — a benchmark essential for industry-funded research and hands-on professional training.
A rare combination for international students: public-university-level quality ratings, a healthcare specialisation few private universities can match, and the affordability of Cyberjaya living.
Rated 5-star by Malaysia's Ministry of Higher Education, placing UoC on par with the country's leading public universities.
One of Malaysia's most established private universities for medicine, pharmacy, nursing and allied health, with clinical training facilities on campus.
Internationally recognised through respected global rankings including QS and Times Higher Education, reflecting teaching quality, employability and social impact.
Students from more than 55 countries create a multicultural environment that prepares graduates for global careers.
Cyberjaya hosts regional hubs of global tech companies, 30 minutes from Kuala Lumpur with an express rail link to KLIA.
Estimated total living costs of RM1,600–RM3,200 per month — significantly lower than Kuala Lumpur city centre and most global study destinations.

Applications can be made year-round ahead of each intake. UoC recommends submitting all documents at least three months before your intake date to allow time for student pass (visa) processing through EMGS, which typically takes around six weeks.
English proficiency is a prerequisite for admission. Accepted tests for the student pass application are IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, Cambridge English (CAE/CPE) and MUET.
